Ramesh Kumar is a fourth-generation woodworker who began his craft in his family’s business in India. After migrating to Australia in 2009 and completing his formal training in cabinet making at Holmesglen TAFE,

Within a month of completing his formal training in Australia, Ramesh Kumar was offered a position at Miguel Meirelles Antiques in Malvern. Over the course of 12 years, he honed his expertise in antique restoration, furniture construction, traditional polishing techniques, and a wide range of specialized woodworking skills. This invaluable experience laid the foundation for his exceptional craftsmanship and deep understanding of the art of woodworking.

In 2020, Ramesh established R.K. Woodwork Co., offering a comprehensive range of restoration services and traditionally handcrafted, custom-made furniture using premium materials such as European Oak, American Oak, Beech, Pine, Cherry and Walnut.

Had great experience with RK Woodworks. Ramesh is very genuine and honest. He did our Laundry upgrade with all new cabinets, bench top and overhead cabinets. He puts attention to details, guided us through the process to optimise the design and usability. Transparent pricing and pretty competitive too..!! Highly recommend.

Ramesh is a pleasure to deal with.Fast and efficient, his attention to detail is fantastic. He helped design and map out an architecturally inspired entertainment unit for my lounge room.
